Working with John Holland on a major project, The Cat Rental Store has added the latest weighing technology to an excavator fleet to speed construction time and reduce transport bottlenecks.

When John Holland became an open alliance partner on the South Morang Rail project, they turned to The Cat Rental Store to access the excavators they needed. And in keeping with their history of ‘going the extra mile’ the Cat Rental Store fitted two excavators with an innovative new mobile weighing system to increase efficiency.

The Loadrite X-Weigh system, supplied by Victorian distributor, Galesafe Weighing adds to productivity by quickly and accurately weighing material in the excavator bucket and displaying the payload information on a cab mounted monitor. This information can be stored as daily, weekly or monthly reports in the monitor for later retrieval, a hard copy can be printed using the optional printer, or the information can be sent straight to your desktop using the Loadrite software’s optional MMS technology.

The Cat Rental Store integrated this technology to its hire offering, with the system easily fitted to any excavator size. This delivers substantial productivity and cost savings to the operator’s fingertips.
